Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our vibrant kitchen team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the preparation of high-quality meals. You will work closely with other team members to maintain food safety standards and deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring all food is prepared according to recipes and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service during busy periods. Participate in catering events as required, helping to set up and serve food. Support the head chef or kitchen manager with various tasks as needed, including inventory management and stock rotation. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A passion for cooking and providing excellent service in a restaurant or catering setting.

Pay: 12.44-14.00 per hour
