Weekend Kitchen Staff Member required - (Dessert experience preferred) Part Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will work closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure that food safety standards are met while delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Duties
Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards.
Support the culinary team in catering events and special functions as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
Participate in the cooking process, including grilling, frying, baking, and plating dishes.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
Skills
Experience in food preparation or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous.
Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a kitchen setting.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary skills.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
