We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in korean food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu development, kitchen management, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role is for a canteen where breakfast, lunch and dinner is served 6 days a week. We have very short serving windows and Prepare the same dish to everyone for that meal.
Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and timely service.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative recipes and seasonal menus.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving.
Handle any customer feedback or concerns regarding food quality or service.
Skills
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Excellent leadership abilities to manage kitchen staff effectively.
