About Us:


Broxap is a family owned engineering business based in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, established in 1946. We are amongst the market leaders in the design and manufacture of street furniture, shelters and covered walkways.


Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30, with half hour lunch break.


Holidays: 25 days holiday entitlement, plus 8 bank holidays.

The Role:


Based at our Chesterton site, we are recruiting for an experienced CAD CAM Programmer to program our range of laser, CNC and ATC press brake machines.


Key Responsibilities:


Creating 2D CNC CAD programs with the use of Amada CAD/CAM software.


Programming our laser cutting machine and bending paths for our ATC Amada pressbrakes


Nesting parts to ensure and maintain a very high percentage of material utilisation.


Working closely with the machine operatives to ensure that:


Accurate programs are being cut in the correct order, maintaining an efficient supply of cut parts to the next stage of manufacture.


Laser cut parts are clearly labelled and have the correct WO attached to the parts / pallets.


The laser machine is suitably programmed and stocked to run through the night.


Continuously developing strategies to improve efficiencies and costs.


Experience and Required Skills:


Experience programming laser, CNC and/or press brake machinery.


Have previous experience in using nesting software


- Amada Blank Cam would be an advantage.


Previous work experience within the manufacturing /sheet metal industry.
Able to interpret engineering drawings.
