Laser Operator

to join our team.

About Us:

FMC Ltd was started in the UK in 1991, with the specific goal of providing a product and service to a standard that had previously been unavailable, to the earthmoving and mining aftermarkets. Key personnel were drawn together from various backgrounds that collectively had many years' experience in this field.

Today all genuine FMC parts are supplied and manufactured in our own facilities based in Nottinghamshire or from our tooling at key manufacturers around the world and shipped from our Warehouse based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

Job Summary:

As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to process materials according to precise specifications. You will work closely with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate laser cutting machines Load and unload materials on the laser table Read and interpret technical drawings and job orders Perform quality checks on completed parts to ensure compliance with specifications Carry out basic machine maintenance and report any faults Maintain a clean and safe working environment Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience operating laser cutting machines preferred Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Basic computer literacy Ability to lift materials and work on your feet for extended periods
