We are seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter with a strong carpentry background and SSSTS/SMSTS certification to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to lead and actively contribute to our prestigious residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will combine advanced carpentry expertise with proven supervisory skills, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all on-site carpentry activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and timelines. Perform hands-on carpentry tasks, including high-end finishing, bespoke joinery, and intricate installations. Coordinate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery. Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, leveraging SSSTS/SMSTS knowledge to maintain a safe working environment. Uphold exceptional quality standards and craftsmanship across all project elements. Provide regular progress updates and detailed reports to project managers, maintaining accurate documentation.
Requirements

Extensive experience as a Lead Carpenter or Foreman or similar role in high-end residential construction. Advanced carpentry skills, with a focus on bespoke joinery and premium finishes. Relevant qualifications. Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification, demonstrating expertise in site safety and management. First Aid. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a small team. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and health and safety standards. Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications. Valid CSCS card / Cert. Full UK working rights and availability to work in Central London.
