We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead to oversee and coordinate various construction and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in multiple trades, including carpentry, masonry, electrical work, roofing, and plumbing. This role involves leading teams on-site, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and delivering high-quality workmanship across diverse projects. Duties
Lead and supervise teams engaged in fabrication, assembly, and construction activities.
Oversee the utilisation of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as joinery and roofing tools.
Coordinate tasks related to carpentry, masonry, electrical installations, plumbing, and construction painting.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Assist with heavy lifting operations and ensure proper handling of materials to prevent injury.
Conduct quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle to maintain high standards.
Organise workflow schedules and allocate resources efficiently across multiple sites.
Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and productivity.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers as required to facilitate smooth project progression.
Qualifications
Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry, electrical work or related trades.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to construction tasks.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Experience in construction painting, plumbing or electrical systems is desirable but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and effective communication.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are preferred but not mandatory.
