Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Dental Nurse to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to take the next step in their dental nursing career.



The Practice is a modern, family private clinic which provides a wide range of general dentistry, oral surgery, implant treatment and sedation services. It has undergone recent modernisation and benefits from a centralised sterilisation facility, digital radiology including a CBCT unit and an intra-oral scanner.



Key Responsibilities



Lead and support the nursing team

Ensure clinical excellence and compliance with all CQC and health & safety regulations

Provide chair side assistance for a variety of procedures, with a strong focus on Sedation, Oral surgery and advanced dentistry

Support clinicians in the delivery of high-quality patient care

Maintaining accurate patient records and managing patient data

Manage stock control and oversee sterilisation protocols

Assist with staff training, mentoring, and day-to-day team coordination

Communicate effectively with both clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations

Involved in promoting treatment items such as Orthodontics, implants and composite bonding and Aesthetics to patients.

Requirements



GDC registered Dental Nurse

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a dental nursing role, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory position

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Confident in leading a team in a clinical environment

Knowledge of compliance standards and ability to implement best practices

A positive, proactive approach with a strong focus on patient care and team development

Preferred sedation qualified

Preferred Dentally software experience
