About the role
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced
Lead Product Owner
to take full ownership of delivery across multiple technology products--and where needed, across business units. You'll be the driving force behind change delivery, ensuring internal and partner teams deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget. This is a strategic leadership role that blends product vision, stakeholder management, and agile delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of product initiatives across technology, process, and people.
Define and coordinate product domain changes to maximize customer value.
Manage sourcing strategies and delivery interdependencies aligned with business goals.
Own the planning and monitoring of change portfolios; report progress to senior stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and manage change effectively.
Recruit, motivate, and guide cross-functional teams; oversee training and development.
Maintain full financial accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, and spend tracking.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations across Royal Mail and third-party suppliers.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage matrixed business resources.
Champion Agile methodologies and support Product Owners in managing customer expectations.
What We're Looking For
You're a seasoned product leader with a proven track record in enterprise delivery and stakeholder engagement. You bring strategic vision, technical fluency, and a passion for empowering teams.

? Essential Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in enterprise product delivery with deep knowledge of engineering best practices.
Strong grasp of Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Kanban, SoS, Prince2).
Experience transitioning from Waterfall to Agile methodologies.
Skilled in JIRA, Confluence, and automated testing/release tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
Strategic partner experience in product direction, beta testing, or industry events.
Financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-pound budgets.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
