Position Summary

Due to continued growth and development, WRC is looking for an experienced and self-motivated

Lead Operative

to oversee the operations of a state-of-the-art MRF (Material Recycling Facility)

.

Responsibilities

Overseeing the day-to-day activities of a Material Recovery Facility Overseeing daily duties of MRF operatives Mentoring and motivating site operatives on a daily basis Compliance and enforcement of company Health and Safety standards at all times Quality control checking of operations to ensure compliance with license and reporting any faults to maintenance staff Ensuring the company environmental policy is always complied with Ensuring the MRF is maintained to ensure the minimum downtime Ensuring daily checks by operatives are carried out Organise work schedules to ensure the appropriate staff numbers are available Any other duties which could be reasonably expected of you in accordance with the role

Skills Required

Strong people management skillsand leadership qualities Experience managing a team of people is essential Recycling yard experience is essential Strong knowledge of recycling is essential Ability to work with heavy machinery is desirable but not essential as this role will be largely focused on personnel management Understand operation and maintenance requirements of recycling plant and machinery Calm, authoritative ability to make decisions within defined limits of authority
