WHAT TO EXPECT

We are looking for talented Lead Software Developers to support JLR Digital Engineering Capability (DEC) team who are responsible for the selection, development and support of all Engineering tools (for example, Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Engineering, Systems & Software Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management) that we use to develop and design our world class vehicles from concept to product delivery.

We are embarking on a major toolset modernisation programme that is transforming the way in which we engineer our vehicles, so JLR remain at the leading edge of engineering tools so its an exciting time to be joining.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Development of the Dassault 3D experience software to provide tools and methods to our engineering team that allows them to deliver on the way they engineer vehicles
  • Collaborate with our tool vendor to enhance existing capabilities and/or develop new ones
  • Configure tools and systems in a loosely coupled solution that is easy to maintain
  • Set code standards and engage in peer reviews
  • Provide oversight and foster built-in quality along with promoting team and technical agility.
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED
  • Programming experience in Java, Python , C++ or C#, as well as general scripting knowledge (batch)
  • A degree in Engineering or a Computer Science-based subject.
  • You\'ll have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using a structured approach to solve complex technical issues such as applying systems thinking
