Locations: Yeovil

3 days per week on site

Role description:

As a Lead Software Developer you will be working with National Security Customers as part of DevOps teams with regular contact with end-users to understand, design, develop and deploy applications and services. DevOps ways of working is fully embraced, and therefore Developers who enjoy playing a role in the full delivery lifecycle are extremely valued. In this role you\'ll be identifying the right technologies to use for the job, and will have access to services such as Pluralsight. Your work will not only make a huge impact on the systems you\'re using, but also for the security of the UK.

Experience necessary for a Lead Software Developer:

• Programming with C++
• Experience with Windows/Linux
• Low level code (firmwire)
• Agile environment team working - Scrum / Lean / Kanban
• Team management experience including coaching/mentoring junior developers
• A technical expert
• Worked on fast communications

Bonus points but not essential for a Lead Software Developer:

• Cisco
• Public Sector/Government/Defence experience
