Job Title: Lead Software Developer

Location: Bristol

Pay Range/details: Up to \xc2\xa365,000 + Bonus up to 21.25%

Contract Type: Permanent

My client is a leading defence organisation, specialising in weapons systems and avionics. This is a hands on role working collaboratively with Project Leads, Simulation Architects and the wider project team, with the development of synthetic environments using the C family of programming languages. The role combines aspects of technical leadership, project management and team building.The role will allow you to develop a broader view of systems of systems engineering and enhance your technical skills whilst working in a Synthetic Environment, and you will be able to develop your skills and abilities across the whole of the product development lifecycle, supporting some of the world\'s most advanced defence systems.

Key Responsibilities \xe2\x80\x93 Software Developer

• Integration of real products, models and synthetic environments to provide visualisation, demonstrations, verification & validation as well as training capability and support.
• You will be part of a team, delivering innovative solutions whilst utilising the latest technologies to provide an end to end representation of the weapon system through:
• Visualisation and demonstrations
• Experimentation
• Design and development
• Verification and Validation
• Training Systems.
• Development (using agile scrum methodologies) of real-time software components to simulate weapon systems, including the Integration of hardware to provide true representations of our systems.

Qualifications & Requirements \xe2\x80\x93 Software Developer

• Proven Lead Software Engineer who is adaptable and creative in their approach to lead a small software development team and advance the technical development of our synthetic environments / simulation components
• C# / C++ software development, Unity or Unreal also desired.
• Degree Educated in Electronics or Computing or Software and relevant post education experience
• You will be able to demonstrate your experience / knowledge in some of the following areas:
• Real-Time Software
• Configuration control
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery or Deployment.
• Unit testing and test driven development.
• Agile development
