About the role
As a Lead Tutor you will ensure delivery of the highest quality to young people on programme, through supervising and supporting a team of tutors, by directly delivering appropriate teaching and learning methods.
Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW+) is a Welsh Government initiative that provides work experience and training opportunities to young people and unemployed individuals, enhancing their employability and supporting job creation in various sectors.
Your impact
Responsible for delivering accredited and/or non-accredited courses to a high-quality standard.
Accountable for providing day to day support and mentoring of a team of tutors, with a focus on those within probation or under a performance development plan.
Responsible for assisting with the design, development, and implementation of the curriculum.
Responsible for the training, reviewing, assessment and recording of achievement in line with the Qualification framework and learning programme.
To be involved with standardisation meetings from creation of agenda to leading on key topics
Responsible for partnership building and liaison including groups and organisations linked to employability and health and wellbeing.
Responsible for the Supervision of a team of Tutors including regular individual and team standardisations.
What are we looking for?
Essential
Teaching qualification, PGCE, CertEd or educated to degree level (or equivalent) Experience in teaching, training, or tutoring young people (1619), ideally in employability or vocational skills.
Experience of Award Body practices
Experience of assessment within a teaching or training environment
Significant experience of carrying out Internal Verification activities.
Desirable
Level 7 qualification (or willingness to work towards)
Experience of Curriculum Development
