Job Overview:



The

Learner Liaison Officer

will play a key role in supporting learners throughout their educational journey by conducting starter meetings, regular learner reviews, and Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews. The role ensures that learners receive the necessary support, guidance, and interventions to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct starter meetings with newly approved learners to assess their needs, set expectations, and introduce available support services. Complete learner reviews to monitor progress, identify barriers to learning, and implement appropriate support strategies. Assist in the completion of EHCP reviews, ensuring that learners' needs are accurately documented and that appropriate support plans are in place. Work collaboratively with tutors, support staff, and external agencies to ensure learners receive the necessary support. Maintain accurate records of all interactions and updates in line with organisational policies and safeguarding procedures. Provide guidance and pastoral support to learners, promoting well-being and engagement. Act as a key point of contact for learners, parents/carers, and other stakeholders. Support the Learner Liaison Coordinator in ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on learner experiences and support effectiveness.

Person Specification:



Essential:



Experience working in an education, support, or liaison role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with learners, parents/carers, and professionals. Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Understanding of EHCPs and learner support needs. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.

Desirable:



Experience in a similar learner support or liaison role. Knowledge of SEND and additional learning support needs. Familiarity with relevant education policies and funding requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 22.5 - 37.5 per week
