About the role



As a 1:1 Learning Assistant, you will support a pupil with additional needs to thrive both in and out of the classroom. Working closely with the Inclusion Lead and Class Teachers, you will tailor learning experiences, adapt resources, and help deliver targeted interventions. You'll play a vital role in supporting the pupil's academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development--helping them grow in confidence and independence across the school day.



This is a 1 year fixed term contract (subject to funding with the local council) with a proposed September 2025 start date.





Who we are looking for:



You'll be a calm, empathetic and proactive presence, building a positive and consistent relationship with the pupil and their family. You'll need a strong understanding of SEND and the strategies that support learning and behaviour, as well as a clear commitment to safeguarding. Experience in an educational setting is essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with both children and adults. If you're flexible, compassionate, and genuinely believe that every child can achieve their potential with the right support, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference. You'll be supported by a collaborative team and will have access to relevant training to further your development as part of our inclusive school community.
