Job Title: SEND support learning assistant.

Daily pay/Rate: \xc2\xa380-\xc2\xa390

Location: Salford

Milk education is working alongside SEND schools in the location of Salford. The ideal support assistant needs to have previously been a supprot worker and has had at least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience supporting individuals who have special educational needs or social and emotional needs and have passion and dedication to improve pupils\xe2\x80\x99 lives. The role will involve working full time 8:30-3:30 alongside pupils aged 4-16 years old.

These schools cater for pupils who have complex needs including autism, ADHD and additional difficulties which need to be supported both within a classroom, small groups and a 1:1 basis to suit the pupil\xe2\x80\x99s individual development plan. It is essential to build an environment which is catered towards their education and individual goals and interests to support their learning.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
• Previously had eperience as a yout worker.
• 2 years minimum experience of supporting individuals who have SEND.
• Excellent nurturing behavior strategies.
• Supportive and patient when handling situations.
• Confident with lesson planning and delivery.

Responsibilities and main duties:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom, group activities and on a 1:1 basis.
• Able to create activities and deliver which suits pupils individual needs.
• Deal with situations calmly and safely.
• Communicating effectively with teachers and additional staff.
• Create a positive, consistent, and happy routine for pupils.
