Main Purpose of the Post

We are seeking a Lecturer to join our Academic staff in the School of Aerospace, Civil, Electrical, General and Mechanical Engineering, led by Professor Antonio Gil, part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, led by Professor David Smith, Executive Dean and Professor Johann Sienz, Deputy Executive Dean.

Our outstanding research and teaching environment supports nationally and internationally important areas of research and teaching across a broad range of Physical Sciences and Engineering. Our stimulating, multidisciplinary environment enables and inspires excellence. The Faculty is seeking to appoint a motivated individual to enhance our Learning and Teaching within Engineering. In particular, the faculty is looking to appoint an academic with specialism within learning and teaching, focussing on the enhancement of the student experience and development of students\' skills . It\'s expected that the post holder will work across the Departments in the School to support Design and Sustainability modules at undergraduate and masters levels. In addition, experience of industrial engagement would be advantageous to ensure students appreciate industrial applications and expectations. The candidate would be expected to have a strong commitment to high quality teaching and the student experience.
