About the role
We are currently looking for an Inspector to carry out high quality inspections in line with LOLER and PUWER, and survey various types of engineering tooling and equipment, lifting equipment, cranes, pressure vessels and motorised plant. The Inspector will test and certify that all asset types are compliant to the relevant regulations and be comfortable to quarantine those that are not. The successful candidate will be expected to produce written reports as well as build and maintain professional working relationships with multiple customers across many sites. It will be essential to work as a team on site and in conjunction with operational and administration support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspecting and surveying equipment to identify areas of non-compliance with LOLER & PUWER and generating reports via our online system
Supporting work activities at other airports or UK sites with potential for travel abroad, as required from time to time, making travel will be an essential part of this role
Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure jobs are accepted, understood, implemented and closed down efficiently and accurately
Manage day-to-day workload to ensure all jobs are delivered on time
Provide regular updates to the business on works progress and any risks or potential risks to the business
Most of these services will be carried out on site with the use of our service vehicle
Essential skills and experience:
Confident communicator with a clear working understanding of Health & Safety requirements, LOLER & PUWER 98 regulations
Demonstrable experience in a similar role and environment
Self-motivated who can work alone or as part of an established team
Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrate a 'can do' attitude with a strong commercial understanding of risk
Good at communicating with people at all levels
Full clean UK driving license (manual gearbox)
Must have right to work in the UK
Must be able to gain an airport pass - therefore a clean personal record and ability to show previous work/educational history up to 5 years prior with references is required
