We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Practitioner to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and working with children. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise daily activities within the nursery, ensuring they are age-appropriate and stimulating
Support the planning and implementation of educational programmes aligned with early childhood development standards
Manage the safety and wellbeing of children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress, behaviour, and needs
Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and other required documentation
Organise activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
Ensure the nursery environment is clean, organised, and welcoming for children and staff alike
Skills
Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
Experience working with children, including those with special needs or behavioural challenges
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare)
Experience with nursery routines, activities, and curriculum planning
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies if required
