Swansea Council is seeking Refuse & Recycling LGV Driver-Operatives to join our dedicated Waste Management team. This is more than just a driving job -- it's a hands-on opportunity to contribute to keeping our city clean, green, and sustainable.

What You'll Be Doing:

Safely driving and operating LGV Class 2 refuse and recycling vehicles across Swansea. Collecting domestic, commercial, and recycling waste from homes, flats, schools, and businesses. Supporting the team with manual loading when not driving. Promoting responsible waste disposal and encouraging recycling among residents. Conducting essential vehicle checks and minor maintenance tasks. Bank holiday working, weekend working as needed.

What You'll Need:

A valid LGV Class 2 driving licence, CPC qualification preferred. A strong sense of teamwork and reliability. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and a commitment to safety standards. Good communication and customer care skills. Flexibility to work overtime and in varying weather conditions.
