Job Description

We are looking for, engaged, service driven individuals who want have fun at work whilst delivering the best service to our members and guests.

As the Chef de Partie you will be working directly under the Head Chef and deputising in his absence.

You will be working in our newly refurbished clubhouse as part of a vibrant team meeting the varied needs of our customers. You will be encouraged to contribute to daily specials menus creating fresh dishes alongside the bar menu. The Club also holds multiple functions and event that offer the opportunity to create a wider variety of dishes. This really is a varied role.

JOB PURPOSE

Primary duty is to assist the Head Chef in providing a first class customer service and catering experience for members, guests and visitors that maximises food sales within the club.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



Staffing



1. In the absence of the Head Chef, deputise with the day to day management of the kitchen area, staff and food quality served.

2. Assist Head Chef with the kitchen staff, training and development and management,

3. Ensure strict awareness and compliance with Health & Safety work practices including good practice for standards of hygiene

4. Assist in drafting of weekly rota to cover day to day food service and act on information received from Food & Beverage Manager and office on any events i.e. weddings, corporate functions etc.

5. In the absence of the Head Chef be responsible for employee relation issues and review any incidents with the General Manager.

6. Encourage and manage kitchen staff to ensure a good working relationship will all bar staff.

General



1. In the absence of Head Chef, attend and participate in the weekly Heads of Department meetings and be aware of all club policies and procedures.

2. Maintain consistently high standards of all food outlets ensuring that corporate standards for food quality are consistently met, be it for day to day service or club functions, external and internal.

4. Assist in the monitor and management of product yields.

6. In absence and under direction of the Head Chef, order kitchen stock and receive deliveries when necessary.

7. Maintain all kitchen appliances in a clean and orderly manner, advising Head Chef of any maintenance or repair where necessary.

Health & Safety



1. To be aware and comply with the Health and Safety Policy operated by the Club.

2. To be aware comply with all hygiene regulations, reporting any failings to the Food & Beverage Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications



Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and food safety standards. Previous restaurant experience, demonstrating excellent customer service and catering abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Knowledge of serving techniques and food presentation.

Pay: 26,000.00-27,000.00 per year
