Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Help in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages. Participate in training new kitchen staff as required, sharing knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.

Skills

Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary skills. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
