Line Operative

Are you, reliable, hardworking and have a great eye for detail? We are looking for people to join our team at our customers site in Elton, this role is located on a large glass manufacturing site (CH2 4LF), near Ellesmere Port.

This position is temporary ongoing.

Hours/Shifts

13.60 Days - 14.10 Nights per hour

All shifts are 12 hours 07:00-19:00 days and 19:00-07:00 nights.

Rota is Monday to Sunday, 44 hours a week. (Current shift pattern is Monday to Thursday)

Rota is a mix of days and nights on each crew.

Training for this position will be around 4 weeks, this will be covered on shifts.

Role Overview

You will need a great eye for detail

You will be moving glass ware, around your work area.

Quality checking for any defects within the glass ware.

The operator reports into the Supervisor/Operations manager who form part of the process shift team

Key Accountabilities

Comply with health & safety and hygiene policies, operational procedures and regulations, including wearing the relevant PPE and being correctly attired at all times.

Maintain maximum production efficiency and minimum production downtime.

Detect any defects in the glass as per your rework request and insure all your packaging is in line with your specification request.

Input, record and monitor data clearly, ensuring performance optimisation.

Ability to work as part of a team, with excellent teamworking skills

Assisting other team members as required

Completing written records

Self-motivated and have good communication skills

Maintaining high levels of housekeeping in your immediate work area.
