Duties
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and excellence in presentation and taste
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and allergen controls
Coordinate with suppliers for ingredient sourcing and inventory management
Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and appealing
Ensure timely service during busy periods while maintaining quality standards
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and high performance
Experience in food production, culinary arts, and serving guests in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and suppliers
A passion for culinary excellence combined with creativity in menu development
