FEMALE CARER REQUIRED

MUST LIKE WORKING WITH ANIMALS

DEMENTIA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We have a lovely couple package available for a gentlemen with dementia. The gentlemen owns a donkey, so you must like donkeys. He can communicate but may become confused sometimes so we need the carer to be patient.

The gentleman has poor mobility therefore it is downstairs living. He wants to be as independent as possible but will accept prompts from the carer.

The client has requested to support with meals and his day to day routine.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication administration. Assist with behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Monitor and document changes in clients' health or behaviour and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients.

Requirements

Previous experience in care home or live in care required Knowledge of patient care practices and first aid is essential. Ability to manage behaviours effectively and compassionately, particularly for clients with dementia or similar conditions. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility as needed. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client needs is desirable. Valid driver's license for transportation needs (required to have business class) DBS on the update service
