Overview

The Rocks at Plas Curig is looking for a friendly, reliable Live-In Host to join our team in the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia). This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in high standards, and who has a passion for the outdoors. Previous experience in hostel/hotel, or guest services is preferred. The successful applicant will possess excellent communication both in-person, via email and on the telephone, contributing to a positive guest experience from arrival to departure.

Seasonal Role:

March - September, with potential for permanent work for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping duties, ensuring guest rooms and communal areas are kept to a high standard Reception duties, including guest check-ins and check-outs, creating a warm and friendly welcome. Providing excellent guest relations and local information to ensure a welcoming stay Stock control and basic ordering of supplies Light administrative duties (emails, records, basic paperwork) Responding to all guest enquiries by phone, in-person and on email. Work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth operation efficiency.

Comfortable living on-site being a keyholder

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel environments is advantageous. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear, courteous interaction Excellent phone etiquette and organisational abilities Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional appearance Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends when required A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest service

Live-in accommodation (does not include utility costs). The company ensures that your total pay, after accommodation, meets or exceeds the legal minimum wage. Pay: 12.71-14.00 per hour
