We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving growth and enhancing our market presence.

Must have Freight & Logistics experience!

This position involves developing strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and leveraging data analysis skills to optimise business processes within the supply chain. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of transportation management systems, shipping and receiving operations, and materials handling.

Duties

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the supply chain sector. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Conduct thorough data analysis to inform strategic decisions and improve business processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. Oversee the implementation of transportation management systems and ensure compliance with industry standards. Manage logistics operations including shipping, receiving, and materials handling to ensure timely delivery of goods. Utilise AS400 systems for inventory management and reporting purposes. Provide training and support to team members on best practices in supply chain management.

Requirements

Proven experience in business development or a related field within the logistics & freight industry. Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes as well as transportation management systems. Proficiency in data analysis skills to drive informed decision-making. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on achieving results.
