We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Logistics /Yard Support Operative to join our team to support one of our valued clients. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our operations by managing the yard area, ensuring that materials are organised. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working as part of a team and possesses a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

Safe loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck for deliveries and collections. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the yard area, ensuring all materials are stored appropriately. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to move materials around the yard. Supporting the logistics team daily with the teams day to day tasks Daily site traffic management to ensure the safe/efficient traffic movements on site. Participate in regular safety checks and adhere to all safety protocols while operating equipment.

Requirements

Previous experience in logistics/yard operations is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking and packing tasks. Capability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A valid forklift licence is desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
This is a temporary position leading to a permanent position for the correct candidate.
