Job Description
Shearline Precision Engineering is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong Electrical and Mechanical background who can undertake various planned, reactive, and proactive maintenance tasks supporting the overall function of machinery/equipment, identifying faults and solutions alike. This is a production environment, and the individual must be conversant with machine maintenance and repair and be willing to work occasionally out of hours if necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair tasks on CNC Mills and Lathes. Willing to engage with a changing work environment, which will involve occasional out-of-hours work. Maintain and support the building facilities, including plumbing and electrical installation. Maintain and support production electronic/electrical systems. Working as part of a team and supporting production and operations. Implement solutions to help improve machine reliability and quality issues. Updating Logs/Documentation for repairs and PPM.
Essential Criteria:
Working with and having an in-depth knowledge and experience of Electrical, Mechanical, pneumatics, and programming knowledge is essential. Knowledge of CNC and PC controlled systems. Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and their energised components. Team working and flexibility with an open attitude Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management Able to work unsupervised and prioritise their own time and activities Have strong Electrical fault-finding skills supporting fast and effective problem-solving Able to demonstrate a proven ability in troubleshooting and recovering equipment in a dynamic environment
