Job Description

Job Overview



Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and supporting to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production lines, facilities, equipment, and utilities. Contribute to delivering a maintenance service that meets business needs and supports the ongoing optimisation of manufacturing processes in line with EVG's service and quality standards. Providing a timely and effective response to technical issues and breakdowns is essential.

Key Responsibilities:



Health, Safety & Environment



Comply fully with all health, safety, food safety, and environmental standards. Always Work safely, wearing appropriate PPE and following safe systems of work. Ensure correct waste segregation and report spills, hazards, or near misses promptly. Support risk assessments and food-safe working practices as required.

Planned & Preventive Maintenance



Complete all planned and preventive maintenance activities on time and to required standards. Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation. Escalate issues or defects promptly to the Maintenance Manager.

Breakdown & Corrective Maintenance



Diagnose and rectify faults quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime. Implement safe, cost-effective corrective actions that deliver both short- and long-term solutions. Escalate complex issues or cost-related decisions appropriately.

Continuous Improvement



Identify and suggest engineering improvements that enhance efficiency, reliability and safety Participate in root cause analysis and fault-finding to reduce recurring breakdowns. Work closely with operations teams to support daily production and continuous improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Procedures



Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including hygiene, food safety, clean-as-you-go, and working practices. Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Contractor Control



Support contractor management, including inductions and permits to work. Ensure contractors comply with site rules and report any non-conformance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
