As a Maintenance Engineer with welding experience, you'll play a vital part in our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include performing both preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of machinery and equipment. A key aspect of this role is using your welding expertise to repair, fabricate, and modify parts to keep our production lines running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventative maintenance
on all plant machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
Diagnose and troubleshoot
mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
Execute welding repairs
on various materials (e.g., steel, aluminium) using different techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) to fix damaged components.
Fabricate new parts
and modify existing equipment as needed to improve performance or address specific issues.
Collaborate with the production team
to schedule maintenance and repairs to limit disruption.
Maintain accurate records
of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations
and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications:
Proven experience
as a Maintenance Engineer or a similar role in a [e.g., manufacturing, industrial] environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills
and the ability to work under pressure.
Self-motivated
with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Experience with mention specific equipment or systems, e.g., PLC systems, hydraulic machinery, pneumatic systems is a plus.
