We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals for a Maintenance Engineer position. The successful applicant will be carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance to all site plant and equipment, resolving equipment failures and carrying out planned and unplanned engineering tasks in a responsive and effective manner.

Salary grades in place & achievable as experience and qualifications dictate progression

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will take personal accountability for providing a responsive and effective service and should possess the below qualities:

Communication - able to express information clearly in writing and verbally, including use of the site CMMS. Ability to render performance with Integrity. Team Working - able to work well within a team contributing to objective achievement. Interpersonal Skills - able to interact with others in an effective way. Able to follow detailed work instructions and SOP Complete documentation to record completed individual tasks and plan departmental workload using the site CMMS.

Responsibilities:

Working safely at all times & escalating issues that present a hazard to yourself or others including all persons on site or members of the public Following company / local site rules and adherence to company values Respond to breakdowns, systematically find faults, identify root cause and then implement solutions to prevent recurrence. Carry out planned maintenance and identify continuous improvements to increase equipment efficiency. Work with production, support groups and suppliers to implement improvement opportunities to increase equipment efficiency and safety and reduce engineering downtime. Identify and implement improvements to equipment to increase process robustness and reliability.

Qualifications

Qualified Mechanic / Electrical / Multiskilled having served a recognised apprenticeship. Minimum NVQ level 3 / BTEC / City & Guilds Multi-skilled to some degree with credible, demonstrable electrical and / or mechanical experience in an industrial maintenance environment in addition to a core discipline Pneumatics, hydraulics demonstrable on the job experience is a requirement Experience & understanding of an automated process environment is essential

Experience or skills that would be desirable

PLC / Scada / Controls understanding & experience Fabrication / welding experience Drives and powertrains Fault finding / problem solving Silo safety Confined space Working at height Pumps - positive / Vacuum Gas safe FLT MEWP Mobile plant knowledge - Automotive knowledge Safety qualifications IOSH / NEBOSH
