The Role


As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in keeping our machinery and facilities running smoothly. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for both mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and improving plant reliability. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same.

What You'll Do



Perform reactive and proactive maintenance on a variety of process and packaging equipment. Troubleshoot machinery to minimise downtime and support efficient production. Carry out building maintenance and upgrades when needed. Drive a lean and effective PPM (planned preventative maintenance) system to ensure all machinery is maintained at the highest standard. Support engineering projects, machinery installations, and upgrades. Monitor and maintain technical records, OEM manuals, and electrical drawings. Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and site risk assessments. Collaborate with production and management to maintain high standards of reliability and efficiency. Flexible approach to hours to cover maintenance peaks, holidays, and sickness.

What We're Looking For



Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, ideally in a food manufacturing or production environment. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge. Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery efficiently. Experience with PPM systems or willingness to learn and maintain planned preventative maintenance schedules. Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and electrical schematics. Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Willingness to work rotating shifts and regular Saturday overtime.
