As our next Maintenance Engineer, you...



Are responsible for preventative maintenance work and carry out regular safety and maintenance inspections across the Building to create a pleasant and safe environment for all colleagues, Tenants, leaseholders, and visitors.

Undertake and manage various general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electricity, telecommunications, heat, carpentry and decorating. Conduct routine inspection of premises and equipment and handle basic repairs and maintenance requirements. Inspecting building structures, equipment and assets performing reactive and preventive maintenance Perform task and deliver service with the highest level of discretion, aiming for minimal disruption and inconvenience for all asset holders. Handle basic repairs and maintenance; coordinate and oversee contractors and external providers ensuring they work in relation to service agreements and procedures. Install, inspect and troubleshoot equipment, appliances and systems. Maintain and replace parts on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems as and when required. Liaise with and supervise contractors and external providers to carry out work activities. Assist in record keeping and keep daily log of repairs and maintenance of assets and equipment Respects Strata's Legionnaires' disease directive. Apply the building's security regulations (in case of fire etc). Champion the commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc). Actively contributes to the safety of people and property (ensuring safety exits remain clear of obstruction etc). Take responsibility for identifying areas of improvement within range of operation, including risk awareness. Report spare parts stock levels. Manage work permits and collect liability insurances from newly awarded contractors.

Qualifications



You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position and be in possession of a current work visa.



This position is available on a full time 40 hour contract.



Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in a similar role. You will need to be able to provide maintenance, logistics expertise and support, ensuring the smooth running of the building's technical installations. Strong electrical skills, including familiarity with logic controllers. Ability to read and understand technical schematics and manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrating logical thinking in troubleshooting scenarios. Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation. A proactive attitude towards maintaining safety standards within the workplace. Ideally have a good understanding of building maintenance. Have the ability to ensure tenants and back of house areas are well maintained Experience working in a building maintenance department is desirable. Be able to work collaboratively with Strata Management to complete relevant job tasks and responsibilities. Remain proactive and approach tasks and requests with a can-do-attitude. Willingness to undertake appropriate training to develop increased expertise in the area of work concerned.
