We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and systems, contributing to overall productivity and safety.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Interpret and work from schematics to diagnose issues effectively.
Perform welding tasks as required for repairs or modifications.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Collaborate with other departments to support production needs and resolve technical issues.
Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as necessary.
Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests.
Lead initiatives aimed at improving maintenance processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience in maintenance engineering, with strong mechanical knowledge.
Solid electrical experience, particularly with PLCs and schematics.
Proficiency in welding techniques is advantageous.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
