Farrow and Ball - Maintenance Engineer, Wimborne (40 hours per week)
We are currently looking for a
Maintenance Engineer
to join our Engineering team based at our manufacturing site in
Wimborne, Dorset.
The role is permanent and full time, whilst most hours will be between
7.30am - 4pm
Monday to Friday
there may be the odd occassions where you will be required to work outside of these.

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our high-performing team. You'll play a key role in keeping our production equipment running smoothly, responding to breakdowns, and driving continuous improvement across our operations.
What we expect from you as a Maintenance Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out scheduled repairs and planned maintenance
Execute improvement works aligned with business needs and production schedules
Prioritise tasks effectively, balancing reactive and proactive maintenance
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, flagging shortages as needed
Use Agility CMMS to log accurate asset history and maintenance records
Collaborate with the wider team to meet and exceed KPI targets
Ensure all production machinery is kept in optimal working condition
Identify faults and suggest improvements to enhance equipment reliability
Deliver a consistently high level of service to internal stakeholders
Review and refine preventative maintenance schedules based on hands-on experience
Uphold all health and safety standards and company procedures
Key Attributes & Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Time-served Electrician with a proven track record in fault diagnosis and repair
Strong electrical fault-finding skills and solid mechanical aptitude
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
Clear communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
Personally accountable, cooperative, and committed to excellence
