Job Description

Skymark Packaging International, part of the Interflex Group, is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its team. Prior experience in a similar role along with the correct qualifications is essential.

The role

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be the first port of call for repairing machinery breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance at the Scunthorpe site.

Key Responsibilities of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to include:-

Conduct regular PPM Servicing Carry out machine malfunction correction work and ensure plant and equipment meets operational demands in a safe and efficient manner. Assist in large installation and machine removals Help improve customer response times, reduce lead times, improve plant efficiency keep down time to an absolute minimum and be 100% compliant with procedure Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work

This list is not exhaustive but represents the main responsibilities expected of the Maintenance Engineer. In addition to the above, the role holder will be expected to undertake all reasonable tasks requested by management.

About you

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will ideally have both electrical and mechanical experience and knowledge of planned preventative maintenance. If you have an electrical apprenticeship, it is highly advantageous but not essential.

Live within a commutable distance to Scunthorpe 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations Level 3 Electrical qualification - HNC,ONC, NVQ or equivalent 3 years + experience working within a similar role Excellent communication skills Reliable and flexible to manage changing priorities Self-disciplined with the ability to set and maintain high standards Motivated to create a safe environment for yourself, ensuring you always work in a safe manner Good attention to detail Good team player; ability to work as part of a team and alone on own initiative

Working hours, Pay and Holiday Entitlement

The position will be working on a 12-hour shift rota, covering days and nights on a 24/7 shift basis (including weekend and bank holiday working)

The salary is 41,976.48 pa (19.22 per hour)

Initially you will receive 240 hours per annum (pro-rata to reflect start date) which increases through service up to a maximum of 288 hours. The holiday year runs from Jan to Dec each year)
