To ensure the maintenance, and technical requirements of Wales National Pool Swansea are completed whilst observing relevant health and safety requirements at all times.
MAIN DUTIES
1. To assist in the monitoring and control of all planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
2. To effectively maintain and repair faulty equipment, fixtures & fittings.
3. To conduct routine maintenance as required, for example - tiling, plumbing, etc.
4. To minimise any downtime relating to equipment and services provided for customers.
5. To assist in the management and monitoring of pool plant operation, water testing, chemical dosing etc in conjunction with other key staff as required.
6. To attend WNPS meetings, reporting on maintenance & safety matters as required.
7. To provide regular verbal and/or written reports on maintenance, safety and technical operations as required.
8. To liaise with contractors as required and ensure that risk assessments/method statements etc. are satisfactory, in conjunction with other key staff as required.
9. To ensure the completion of accurate records of all maintenance and repairs including works undertaken directly and by external contractors.
10. Ensure all equipment/facilities comply with any active legislation & policy such H & S, legionella, building regulations, pool and plant maintenance (eg HASAWA 1974, WNPS H&S Policy), and maintain accurate and up to date records.
11. To report in a timely manner any concerns over Health and Safety issues to your line manager.
12. Ensure the safe management of plant and chemical agents complying with COSHH Regulations at all times
13. To provide technical advice as and when required.
14. To work closely with the management team to ensure that any disruptions to service/operations are kept to a minimum via thorough planning and implementation of preventative measures.
15. To assist on energy reduction projects.
16. To liaise with project groups and contractors as required.
17. To deputise for the Maintenance Manager as and when required.
18. To undertake any other reasonable duty as required.
19. To be suitably qualified to complete the various tasks required or willing to undertake further training.
