Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations to ensure smooth workflow. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and presentation standards. Develop new recipes and menus that align with seasonal offerings and customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards. Collaborate with management to forecast food needs and control inventory levels. Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning and arrange for repairs as needed. Maintain a positive working environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration among staff.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques. Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a restaurant setting. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation. A passion for culinary arts, creativity in menu design, and commitment to providing exceptional service.
