What sort of work?

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a part time Management Support Assistant (3 days a week to include Friday) to work closely with the Senior Management Team (Managing Partner and Directors) with proactive support in respect of their leadership role. This role will be based out of our Exeter office and duties will include:


Proactively supporting the Senior Management team with strategic and operational projects Providing relevant administrative support which includes collating joiners and leavers and notifying relevant external organisations (bank, insurers etc), and updating systems etc Liaising regularly with the Senior Management team to understand their work commitments and prioritising your workload accordingly. Making travel and accommodation arrangements (International and National) for the Senior Management team as appropriate Co-ordinating reports and relevant financial data which may be shared with Board and/or the wider Partner group Keeping track of invoicing, spending and budgets Developing a good knowledge of the firm's accounts procedures. Providing administrative support for the processing of partner capital and statements Assisting in development and publication of firm-wide communications as and when required, including drafting and sending comms on behalf of the Managing Partner or members of the Senior Management team Undertaking research of potential suppliers and new projects, business initiatives or opportunities, including putting together briefing packs. Collating information for preparation of internal updates or reports, for preparation of bids, tenders, proposal documents, team sheets and client briefing documents and preparing the first draft of information where appropriate. Supporting the Senior Management team with social media activities Liaising with support departments to resolve problems on the Senior Management Team's behalf, taking ownership of the issue and following up where appropriate

Our Management Support Hub provides our Senior Management Team with invaluable support in leading the operation of the Firm. Working with our Business Services Directors our MSAs will be aligned with specific service areas where they can build and develop specialist knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have:


Recent experience as a PA/EA in a fast paced and professional services environment including supporting at a Senior Management/C-Suite level Excellent IT skills with a good competency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and data management systems. Self-motivated, committed to working towards goals with strong enthusiasm and client service. Experience in diary management and the ability to multi-task

Other skills required include:


A commercial, pro-active 'can do' and professional approach to work Excellent interpersonal skills; effective communicator at all levels (written and verbal). Must interact well with others in a sensitive and effective way, with a willingness to help others - a team player. Flexible, successfully adapting to changing demands and priorities. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills, demonstrable examples of multi-tasking and a methodical approach towards workloads. Demonstrate initiative and ability to work unsupervised. Understand the importance of confidentiality and use of discretion. Adopts a flexible approach to the requirements of the job and adapts positively to change.
