About the role Distribution Centre Manager About the role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Distribution Centre Manager to lead and manage our DC Team, ensuring the efficient and effective dispatch of all store and e-commerce orders. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing teams, collaborating with various functions across the Merchandising business, and maintaining operational excellence.
This role includes consulting with Retail Stores in the UK, Ireland, and international locations, as well as supporting E-commerce channels and collaborating with product, buying, and trading teams on product-related matters. What will you be doing?

  • Lead, motivate, and manage teams of Supervisors, providing overall responsibility for the Intake and Distribution teams as well as foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Distribution Centre.
  • Collaborate with a third-party logistics provider to ensure the efficient dispatch and delivery of all store and e-commerce orders. Monitor and drive continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with logistics providers.
  • Drive efficiencies, manage productivity, and control costs throughout the distribution operation.
  • Ensure compliance with all required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in a safe, legal, and efficient manner.
  • Measure and ensure product quality control, promptly escalating any issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide support to the Facilities Manager in managing maintenance repairs, renewals, and security measures effectively and within budget.
  • Ensure the successful compliance of all Distribution Centre health and safety procedures. Conduct risk assessments, routine inspections, and manage service agreements.
Who are we looking for? This is a key leadership role within the Distribution Centre with accountability for approximately 50 FTE colleagues and up to 50 agency and/or casual colleagues within peak trading periods. This is a broad role that will require strong relationship building skills and the ability to flex and adapt to various internal and external customers. Being a first point of contact for various key stakeholders, providing and maintaining a professional service is critical to success as a key representative of Liverpool Football Club. The role will require flexibility to adapt to business needs and certain tasks and responsibilities will require the role holder to operate in strict confidence with the information and tasks required as part of the role. There will be key process improvement initiatives to lead and contribute to, coupled with a new WMS system to be implemented that will improve efficiency and will require this person to lead on ensuring adoption of new ways of working.
