Job Description

Munnelly Group delivers integrated support services to the UK construction and infrastructure sectors through its family of specialist businesses -- Munnelly Support Services, Guardior, Bridgehead, City Calling, Western Analytics, MacRail, Severn Partnership, and Bishopsgate.

As we continue to expand, we're looking for an ambitious Managing Director to drive the growth of Weston Analytics, our rapidly evolving technology division delivering SaaS innovation, tailored software solutions, and end-to-end managed IT services.

Role Specification:



As Managing Director, you'll take full ownership of operations, strategy, and growth. You'll steer the company toward its long- and short-term goals, champion innovation, and strengthen our market position as a trusted industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Leadership

: Develop and execute the company's business strategies to achieve the goals and objectives set by the Board of Directors. This includes formulating and leading initiatives aimed at increasing work-winning and business development.

Work-Winning Focus

: Actively drive the company's work-winning efforts by identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships with key clients and positioning the company to secure new contracts and projects.

Strategic Advisory

: Provide strategic advice to the Board, offering clear insights into market trends and the company's competitive position enabling informed decision-making for future growth.

Business Planning

: Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans, focusing on market development, business growth and operational efficiency. Ensure these plans are designed to facilitate cost-effective operations and sustainable market expansion.

Governance & Compliance

: Ensure that company policies, procedures and legal guidelines are communicated and adhered to throughout the organisation. Lead by example in promoting compliance at all levels.

Client & Stakeholder Management

: Foster and maintain trust-based relationships with the company's customer base, key business partners and supply chain. Ensure that the company remains competitive by building strong enduring client relationships that drive future work.

Financial Oversight

: Oversee the company's financial performance, driving profitability while ensuring sound financial management. Regularly review financial reports to monitor progress towards the company's financial goals.

Team Leadership & Development

: Delegate responsibilities effectively, supervise the work of senior people and provide guidance and motivation to achieve maximum performance across the organisation.

Performance Management

: Review reports from managers and executives, recognising performance excellence and addressing any challenges that arise. Implement solutions that drive both short-term success and long-term growth.

Problem-Solving & Growth

: Analyse challenges and provide strategic solutions that safeguard the company's stability and growth, ensuring resilience in a competitive market.

Person Specification:



Proven experience as a Managing Director or in a senior leadership role with a strong track record in work-winning and business growth. Technology and software expertise, ideally from a construction background Commercial and client-facing mindset, with a proactive, accountable approach and the confidence to build strong relationships. Visionary leadership with the ability to drive long-term growth and empower innovation, particularly around AI, ERP and CRM development. Demonstrable expertise in developing and executing strategic business plans. Deep understanding of market dynamics, with the ability to anticipate changes and adjust the company's strategy accordingly. Strong financial acumen, including the ability to oversee financial performance and drive profitability. Familiarity with best practices in management, governance and operations. Exceptional organisational and leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, particularly in building and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and capitalising on opportunities.
