Taylor Roofs is entering a new chapter of expansion, building a
group of roofing and related service businesses
across Scotland and beyond. The Managing Director will play a pivotal role in identifying, acquiring, and integrating new businesses into a cohesive, high-performing group.
To achieve this, we're seeking an exceptional
Managing Director
-- a true
Integrator
-- who can lead our people, execute our strategy, and drive operational excellence while ensuring our culture and values remain at the heart of everything we do.
The Role
Reporting directly to the
Chairman (Visionary)
and the
Board
, the Managing Director will be the
Integrator
within the business -- the person who makes the vision happen.
You'll be responsible for leading our teams, embedding accountability, and ensuring consistent execution across all departments. You'll turn strategic objectives into measurable results and build the systems, people, and culture required to achieve our growth ambitions.
You'll have full autonomy to lead the business day-to-day, shape its structure, and build a leadership team capable of delivering sustainable growth -- all while working closely with the Chairman and Board to bring the long-term vision to life.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and hold the leadership team accountable to deliver against company goals.
Oversee all operational, financial, and commercial performance, ensuring sustainable profitability and consistent cashflow.
Drive growth through acquisition, overseeing smooth integration of new businesses into the Taylor Roofs Group.
Develop scalable systems and processes that ensure efficiency, accountability, and quality across the organisation.
Champion our culture and core values in every decision and interaction.
Develop and deliver the long-term strategy, aligning quarterly and annual plans with our 3-Year Picture and 10-Year Target.
Build and maintain strong financial discipline, ensuring P&L, budgeting, and forecasting are tightly managed.
Lead marketing and brand development in collaboration with the leadership and marketing team.
Oversee creation of a Roofing & Training Academy, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain the next generation of skilled roofers.
Represent Taylor Roofs externally with professionalism, integrity, and authority -- acting as a trusted ambassador for the brand.

The Person
You are a
strategic, disciplined, and people-focused leader
-- someone who thrives in turning vision into reality. You combine operational excellence with entrepreneurial drive and can lead with both empathy and accountability.
Essential Experience
Proven track record of leading a multi-million-pound construction, trades, or service-based business.
Demonstrated success in scaling businesses through strong systems, people, and process management.
Deep commercial and financial acumen, with confidence in managing P&L, budgets, and cashflow.
Experience in leading, motivating, and developing leadership teams.
Proven ability to execute strategic plans and deliver measurable results.
Desirable
Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or business integrations.
Familiarity with
Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
or similar business frameworks.
Roofing or wider construction industry experience (preferred but not essential).
Passion for
training, development, and building future talent pipelines.
