Job title: Manufacturing Engineer Manager- Manufacturing Technology

Location: Barrow-in-Furness - Some flexible working available

Salary: Negotiable, Depending on experience

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing:

\xc2\xb7 Use your knowledge and experience to lead a small team of engineers involved in automating our manufacturing process

\xc2\xb7 Provide specialist advice using your product and process knowledge

\xc2\xb7 Developing and planning future R&D strategy for product manufacture

\xc2\xb7 Utilise innovation and creativity to solve problems and implement continuous improvement

\xc2\xb7 Solving problems through automation

\xc2\xb7 Building a team of engineers capable of taking automation ideas through TRL to implementation

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

\xc2\xb7 Able to work independently and as a team to deliver technology/automation into a complex manufacturing facility

\xc2\xb7 Experience of leading/developing people

\xc2\xb7 Manufacturing Background

\xc2\xb7 An in depth understanding of submarine construction process

\xc2\xb7 Ability to identify and deliver automation opportunities across our manufacturing processes

Desirable

\xc2\xb7 Degree Level Education

The Manufacturing Engineering Team:

This is an exciting role within BAE Systems. As Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be adept at leading and enhancing the performance of your team. You will manage a small team of engineers developing projects through Technology review levels across all programmes. You will provide inspirational leadership ensuring your team succeeds, actively coaching mentoring and training team members.
