Marine Electrical Supervisor
to oversee day-to-day electrical operations across vessels, dockside facilities, and fabrication projects.
Role Overview
The Marine Electrical Supervisor will coordinate and supervise electrical technicians, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant installation, maintenance, and repair of marine electrical systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge who thrives in a hands-on leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise electrical technicians and apprentices on marine projects
Oversee installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems (power distribution, navigation, lighting, automation)
Ensure compliance with marine regulations, class society standards, and safety protocols
Conduct inspections, troubleshoot faults, and provide technical guidance
Maintain accurate records, logs, and audit-ready documentation
Report progress and issues to the Marine Electrical Manager and project leads
Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience
HND/Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or Marine Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience in marine electrical systems (shipyards, offshore, or fabrication projects)
Strong knowledge of IMO, SOLAS, and class society requirements
Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation
