Job Description

SeaRegs Training is a respected provider of maritime training in the South West offering Apprenticeships, MCA/STCW, SQA, RYA and Highfield courses to individuals and organisations.

Our office and classroom facilities are in Plymouth and we require a self-motivated person to assist with the required admin for our range of maritime courses creating and processing enrolment paperwork, updating records. Working with the Office Manager to effectively communicate details to relevant parties as well as a number of other tasks relating to preparing materials for courses.

In addition to the scheduled maritime courses, we offer a number of Maritime Apprenticeships, there will be a requirement to assist the Office Manager and Apprentice Administrator with some of the monthly tasks.

It is a varied role involving the use of PC's for word processing and data entry, general assistance in classroom and training aid preparation, and being an extra pair of hands.

Hours



We're looking for a full time person. There will be work on at least one Saturday a month for which time off in lieu or extra pay is offered. It is also expected that cover for one Bank Holiday from March to September will be required, again for which time off in lieu or extra pay is offered.

Requirements:



Enthusiastic Good communicator with a ready smile as you will be customer facing Eye for detail Ideally an interest and background in boats or seafaring Computer literate with generally good level of English grammar
We are not concerned about qualifications - it's the person that counts.

Previous Administrator role

Responsibilities



Enrolment for maritime courses, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. Provide support and guidance to prospective students regarding course offerings and requirements. Utilize computer literacy skills to maintain and update student records efficiently. Collaborate with teaching staff to facilitate a smooth experience for customers Communicate effectively in English with students and stakeholders to address inquiries and provide information.

Summary



As a Maritime Course Administrator, you will be responsible for managing course logistics and supporting the educational needs of students in maritime training programs. Reporting to the Program Director, your role requires strong organizational skills and proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite. You will utilize your administrative experience and phone etiquette to facilitate communication and maintain records. Your attention to detail and clerical skills will ensure the smooth operation of courses, while your ability to work collaboratively will enhance the overall learning experience for students.

Pay: From 25,000.00 per year
