The VacancyThe Vacancy:Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting business growth through strategic marketing and communications? Binnies UK, a leader in the water and environmental engineering sector, is looking for a Marketing and Bids Copy Writer to enhance our brand presence by supporting bid and tendering activities, as well as driving engagement across digital and traditional PR channels.About the Role:As a Marketing and Bids Copy Specialist, you will support our marketing, communications, and client services functions. You will create compelling content, manage social media channels, support bid and tender submissions, and contribute to PR and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

  • Develop high-quality written content, including case studies, website copy, press releases, and social media posts.
  • Support the bid and tendering process, collaborating with technical teams to create compelling submissions.
  • Manage and enhance our social media presence, ensuring consistent messaging and audience engagement.
  • Develop internal and external communication materials to support PR, brand awareness, recruitment, retention and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, events, and sponsorship activities.
  • Monitor and analyse marketing performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Essential requirements:You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:
  • Proven experience in a marketing and or copy writing role, ideally within the engineering, water, or environmental sector.
  • Strong writing and content creation skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in bid/tender writing/co-ordination or support for sales teams.
  • Knowledge of social media content creation, PR, and digital marketing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively, and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and creative mindset.
  • A degree or professional qualification in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, but not essential if you have relevant experience.
