About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic
Group
Marketing and Brand Manager
to lead the marketing efforts for a portfolio of brands across hospitality, retail, lifestyle, and entertainment. This role will also play a key part in launching VisitNewport, a new platform aimed at promoting local businesses, attractions, and events.
As a strategic and hands-on marketer, you will develop and execute marketing initiatives across multiple businesses, ensuring clear and consistent brand messaging. You will work across digital content, branding, and events . This is an opportunity for a driven professional to shape and grow a brand presence from the ground up, working closely alongside and a successful, dynamic and entrepreneurial team.

Country estate and farm stay
Shopping and leisure destinations
Serviced accommodation business

Key Responsibilities.
Marketing Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement a
Group-wide marketing strategy
that supports business objectives and growth targets.
Create tailored marketing plans for individual businesses while maintaining alignment with the overarching Group identity.
Regularly review market conditions, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine strategies.
Report directly to the Board on marketing impact, ROI, and growth opportunities.
Brand Development & Management
Define and protect the
Boyce Group brand
, ensuring consistency across all channels.
Strengthen the individual business brands under the Group, highlighting their unique value propositions.
Oversee the development of
brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual identity
.
Lead on rebranding projects for new acquisitions or business transformations.
Campaign Management
Design and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, PR, and social media.
Ensure campaigns are data-driven and performance-focused, with measurable results.
Build multi-channel strategies that maximise reach, engagement, and lead generation.
Manage the full campaign lifecycle, from concept to execution, tracking, and optimisation.
Content Creation & Asset Development
Produce high-quality marketing assets including brochures, social media content, presentations, press releases, and website material.
Work with internal stakeholders to create case studies, success stories, and thought-leadership pieces.
Commission and manage external designers, copywriters, photographers, and videographers when required.
Digital, Website & Data-Driven Marketing
Lead digital strategy including SEO, PPC, social media, and email marketing.
Oversee website content management and optimisation across Group businesses.
Hands-on ability to update and amend websites (e.g. WordPress, Wix or similar CMS platforms), ensuring content is up-to-date, visually consistent, and user-friendly.
Implement robust analytics and reporting frameworks to track campaign performance.
Identify and adopt new tools, platforms, and technologies that support innovation.
Stakeholder, Media & Partner Engagement
Act as the marketing lead for external agencies, suppliers, and media partners.
Build strong, lasting relationships with media owners, journalists, and outlets, securing coverage and enhancing brand positioning.
Leverage existing knowledge of media owners -- or demonstrate the willingness and ability to proactively build these relationships to support PR and communications strategies.
Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across the Group.
Support the Board with communications, investor relations, and PR when required.
Develop partnerships and sponsorships that enhance brand positioning.
Leadership & Development
Manage and inspire a growing marketing team, setting clear objectives and KPIs.
Foster a creative, high-performance culture that values innovation and results.
Provide training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Ensure marketing processes, budgets, and resources are effectively managed.
Required Experience & Skills:
Proven experience in marketing, ideally across multiple brands or sectors.
To be able to be autonomous with implementation of an agreed strategy.
Experience in brand development or rebranding projects.
Strong skills in content creation, including social media, graphics, and newsletters.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Familiarity with SEO, website management, and digital marketing tools.
A strategic mindset with the ability to adapt and prioritise as business needs evolve.
Desirable Experience & Skills:
Ability to develop and execute marketing strategies with a hands-on approach.
Web design and video editing skills. Hands-on experience with website content management (WordPress, Wix, or similar CMS platforms).
Previous experience in hospitality, lifestyle, or retail marketing.
Established network within Newport, Bristol, or the Southwest.
Experience in event planning and community engagement.
Agency experience is desirable but not essential
Proven track record in building media relationships and securing press coverage -- or clear evidence of ability and willingness to develop these relationships quickly.
Ability to connect marketing activity with revenue, growth, and ROI.
