The Marketing & Communications Officer will sit within the Marketing, Communications and Engagement teams, supporting the promotion of Liverpool Business Improvement District and its levy payers. The postholder will manage digital channels, deliver engaging campaigns, create content, and work closely with partners and businesses to ensure the city centre thrives.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Eventbrite, Mailchimp and social media management platforms.
Experience managing social media platforms
Strong copywriting and editing skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Local knowledge of Liverpool city centre.
A university degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related subject (or equivalent experience).
Desirable
Experience in marketing, communications or events within a business or destination setting.
Photography, videography and editing skills.
Knowledge of user experience (UX) and website management best practice.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Promote Levy Payer businesses and Liverpool city centre through Liverpool Plan, manage and maintain BID social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Bluesky and LinkedIn) for both B2B and B2C audiences.
Write and edit copy for social media, the BID website, newsletters and other communications and act as the brand caretaker for Liverpool Business Improvement District.
Monitor and analyse social media performance, providing feedback to the Marketing Manager.
Upload content to the BID website, manage pages and ensure a user-focused WordPress site.
Upload content to the BID app, manage pages and posts.
Support the development and delivery of seasonal campaigns and events to drive footfall, increase spend and dwell time.
Create graphics for events, campaigns and social media, and provide briefs to external designers where required.
Manage event listings and bookings via Eventbrite, including customer communications.
Attend events to capture photography and videography, producing engaging short-form content.
Manage relationships with content creators, coordinating collaborations, visits and trips to showcase BID businesses and the city centre.
Use BID channels as a platform to promote levy payers and communicate the voice of the BID.
Engage with levy payers to encourage participation, promote their businesses and raise awareness of the BID's goals.
Liaise with the BID's web developer as required for website maintenance and development.
Liaise with the BID's preferred print supplier for all media (flyers, posters, banners etc).
